All of the women at Women’s Health Care created the peaceful pregnancy and delivery that I wanted. This was my first pregnancy and I had a lot of questions. They are very open and informative. The women at the desk were always welcoming. Karla delivered our son and made the entire experience memorable. I enjoyed the security of delivering in a hospital setting but having a midwife help me achieve the type of delivery I wanted. Would recommend them to everyone! ~ Tasha D.
Amazing women. I was so discouraged with the care I was getting in my area. I heard such amazing things about the ladies here. I drove 6 hours round trip just to get the care I needed. They are so sweet and helpful. Love them. I will be going back to them again with the next baby. ~ Harmonie F.
I cannot say enough great things about the staff at WHC. I knew after the birth of my son in 2012 that ended in an unnecessary C-section that I wanted to have a VBAC with my next child. I joined my local ICAN chapter and did my research and found that WHC has one of the highest VBAC success rates in the area. I had a consultation with Mary and felt very confident that my baby and I would be well taken care of. I was always in and out of the office without much of a wait and I never felt rushed at any appointments. Towards the end of my pregnancy I did not want to have any pelvic exams. I was always asked if I wanted one rather than being told I needed one and when I declined, they completely respected my decision. There was never any talk of scheduling a repeat C-section. I went into labor on my own at 40 weeks + 3 days and had a beautiful, unmedicated VBAC birth at TGH with Tammy. I could not have asked for more. These women are truly supportive of women and their birth choices. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a personal, caring provider. ~ Brooke B.
Best staff in Tampa. I have tried a handful of doctors but this is by far the most comforting. The nurse who works there and returns calls is extremely intelligent and directs you as needed on a personal level. You will never hang up confused or unhappy. I call her at times just for advice. And she calls back same day no matter what time you leave a message! ~ Narisa S.
Absolutely the best care I could ever ask for. I was seeing a midwife in my area and she started to get shady. So, around 32 weeks of my pregnancy I was willing to drive an hour out of my way to switch to the midwives at Womens Health Care. I was nervous at first because I was so close to the end of my pregnancy and I didn’t know anyone at the office. The women at the desk were very friendly and the tech was very personable. (I’m bad with names but she was so sweet) I was able to meet with almost every midwife at least once before my delivery and everyone I met was wonderful. They each took their time to hear my questions and concerns because I was aiming for a V-BAC and they answered everything fully and honestly. When it came time for my delivery I ended up with the one midwife I didn’t get the chance of meeting, Beth. She ended up being my favorite. She was so informative and helpful. She let me do everything I wanted during my labor. Basically I wanted everything you get with a home birth with the comfort of being in the hospital just in case something happened. I got to use a mirror, my mom was able to get pictures over her shoulder, my husband was even able to pull our daughter out and cut the umbilical cord. My overall experience was, again, better than I expected. I would definitely recommend anyone and everyone to go see them. ~ Brittany M.
Absolutely love the midwives here. I came here for my first child and will likely be using Women’s Health Care for any later pregnancies. I had Sally for the entire birth and she did an amazing job, she was so caring and calm (I was pretty nervous about the whole thing!). ~ Rachel G.
